Patented pre cut and rolled sections differing in lengths and widths depending on the size O/D of the service, they are used to insulate pipes from the spread of fire from one side of a wall or floor to another when a fire occurs

Patented Design Fire‑Rated Ezy Penno

Our patented fire‑rated Ezy Penno are pre‑cut, pre‑formed, pre‑taped, and clearly labelled to the correct length and width. It is engineered to insulate and prevent the spread of fire across a wide range of our Fire Rated Solutions tested systems, including:

    • Stainless steel pipes
    • Copper pipes
    • Thick‑wall steel pipes
    • Thin‑wall steel pipes
The blanket is approved for use in multiple FRL ratings, including -/60/60, -/90/90, and -/120/120, and is suitable for installation in the most common wall and floor types:
  • Plasterboard
  • Concrete
  • Blockwork (unfilled and core‑filled)
  • Brick
  • Aerated Concrete (ACC)
  • PVC wall systems (concrete‑filled)
  • Masonry
  • Ezy Batt systems
Installation Process
  1. Pipes are measured by their outside diameter (O/D), and the correctly sized wrap is selected.
  2. Ezy seal mastic is applied to fill the linear gap from 5mm to a maximum of 30mm.
  3. The blanket is applied with the required overlap and length.
  4. Ezy Seal Red Mastic is then installed with a 20 mm fillet using the red applicator to ensure correct installation.
  5. Cable ties are applied and secured in the labelled positions.
Wall‑to‑Floor Transitions

Floors linear gap can be either filled with Ezy Seal with a 5mm to a maximum 30mm fillet like the walls but filled to a depth of 50mm to 100mm , or either core filled with cement.

  1. Transitioning from wall to floor is simple. Use two wraps, cutting one in half and apply TOPSIDE ONLY
  2. Fill linear gap on the floor as directed above
  3. Place first full layer of wrap around base of pipe at the floor level penetration
  4. Place the first half at the bottom of the wrap at floor level. So there are two layers at floor level ( one full length and a second cut layer at the base )
  5. Position the second half at the top of the first vertical layer extending the overall length, this creates a tiered effect ( wedding Cake )
  6. Ezy Seal Red Mastic is then applied  around the base with a 20 mm fillet using the same red applicator to ensure correct installation.
  7. Cable ties are applied and secured in the labelled positions.
